Lafarge Mining Workforce Camps

Lafarge Umiam Pvt. Ltd. (LUMPL), a company incorporated in India, had operated an industrial Mine located at Village Shella, district East-Khasi Hills in Meghalaya in 2020. The mine heads of LUMPL was convinced that S.Shaha & Co can be the better partner to complate their PEB project. The scope of work for S.Shaha & Co included supply & installation of Workforce Accommodation health camp, G+1 building, canteen, mining centre etc. by using the highest quality of material and proven technology. This was the 3rd biggest mining industrial project for S.Shaha & Co which was successfully installed by utilizing the smart PEB building solution during the pandemic period. Stakeholder engagement , effective communication management, erection supervision, by a dedicated construction team and adoption of innovative construction techniques resulted in on time completion of the project.

Ganjum School Buildings

The zila Parishad of Ganjum District took the decission of erecting new school buildings with strong structure as Odisha is vulnerable with multiple disasters due to it's sub-tropical littoral location. We s.Shaha & Co erected several milestone buildings till date and being the channel partner of Tata Steel for Nest-In projects, was awarded for the contract for construction10 Nos high school and 14 nos elementary schools at different villages of Ganjum district. The contract was signed on 2nd January, 2014 and the completion time for construction of all 24 buildings were 80 days. In this short span of time we accomplished the project prosperously using the smart PEB solution with the collaboration of 20 team members of Ganjum group.

MES

Brief about the project: "The project involved providing complete 87 pre-engineered steel buildings of different dimensions of category within a span of 365 days for MES. The Scope of work for S. Shaha & Co included design, civil, structure interiors as well as MEP by using the highest quality of materials and proven technology. S.Shaha & Co was convinced to install the project in hassle free construction process."

Solution Proposed: For this project Hybrid shelters solutions was proposed by S.shaha & Co by utilizing MS hollow sections & puff pannel.

Key Challenges: Our construction team played a significant role in shaping this project. Due to the weather and temperature our team faced numerous challenges, while managing this projects.
During the Monsoon season, construction work with black cotton soil was very challenging for our team.
Construction team had to suffer a lot of troubles for having the different location for each building.
On time handover of the entire project of 87 buildings within 365days was actually challenging for S.Shaha & Co.

Result: S.shaha & Co finally successfully installed their first considerable largest project of 87 numbers of buildings on time with no compromise on the quality and service.

Srinagar Rest Shelter (2015)

Brief of the project: Due to heavy rain caused flood at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir of India in 2015. During this miserable situation, Jammu & Kashmir Government proposed S. Shaha & Co to install immediate relief shelters for the 400 flood victim people. The scope of work of S. Shaha & Co was to install minimum 40 shelters for the victims within a very short span of 90 days.

Solution proposed: Considering all the project requirements and time span and situation stated above, our team proposed LGSF Building solution, which was the best solution for this project.

Technical Challenges: Accepting this hostile environment among the flood effected area during the winter season, civil work was extremely challenging for our construction team. Srinagar location often sees significant militant activity and security operations and lot of restrictions due to the India- Pakistan border area, which was very Challenging to work in this location for our construction team. Another challenging thing was the short lead time for the project which we successfully installed and handed over to Srinagar Government on time.

Besu Cafeteria

Proven of Habitat Shelters of Certain Units of Panagarh, was the first Considrable biggest MES project, executed by S. Shaha & Co in Kolkata. This achievement was really remarkable for S. Shaha & Co.87 buildings of different dimensions of category were successfully installed by S. Shaha & Co within a span of 365 days. S. Shaha & Co was convinced to install a hassle-free construction process for them.
